- In first 28 months, delivered a 5 year regional Strategic Plan, renamed the organization and fully restructured bylaws to reflect regional cooperation, scope and public/private partnerships, converted it from a 501c6 to a 501c3, and completed a Capital Campaign increasing annual investment by 40%

- Oversee the Greater Sacramento Economic Council's business development, marketing and communications, and research and strategic initiatives
- Delivered significant organizational improvements, reaching all annual goal metrics even in FY2019/20 among COVID-19 impacts, establishing key operational processes and enhancing investor relations
- Executed first-every memorandums of understanding with seven local commercial real estate brokerage firms, to collectively market the region and drive deal flow
- Established a new advisory group and investor level for the organization, the Business Development Advancement Council, comprised of partners such as commercial brokers, staffing agencies, law firms, and builders

Economic Development Director (June 2013 – August 2018)
- Responsible for executing the City’s initiatives related to new business attraction, business retention and expansion, small business and entrepreneurial support, and employment center revitalization
- Lead negotiator for economic development agreements related to job attraction and retention, including economic impact analysis and deal structuring
- Since arrival directed team efforts to attract or expand 52 unique businesses representing an estimated 7,087 new jobs in five years of operation, with a total combined five-year economic impact of $7.7 billion
- Became the 58th Accredited Economic Development Organization (AEDO) status via the International Economic Development Council, and only second in Arizona
- Led economic development team in the receipt of multiple awards from entities such as the Arizona Association for Economic Development, the International Economic Development Council, and FDi Magazine
- Launched cutting edge Talent Accelerator initiative to assist local firms in talent attraction and development, the first of its kind in Arizona
- Fully redesigned and rebuilt the ChooseScottsdale.com economic development website including significant target industry and employment corridor information as well as news, research tool and Lead Forensics integration resulting in a 74 percent increase in visitors
- Completed full departmental assessment, reorganization and metrics-based performance plans in first 120 days
- Created and launched a six-month small business educational series fully funded through sponsor revenue
- Delivered a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategic Plan unanimously approved by City Council on time and on budget, following input from more than 300 business leaders

- Oversee Development Services, Community Services and Economic Development Departments and Marketing and Communications Division
- Significant involvement in City Strategic Plan, budget, and performance metrics development and measurement
- Full oversight of Development Services Department Audit contract and developer and executor of Implementation Plan, and launch of Information Technology Division Audit
- Represent the City Manager’s Office to outside organizations, community groups, and customers and interact with Boards and Commissions, outside governmental agencies and non-profits, constituent representative groups and other citizen groups relative to goals, actions and activities of the City
- Manage all economic development efforts including business attraction, retention, and expansion, as well as direct all City-widemarketing, public information and media efforts

- Successful Development and Grant Agreement negotiation and execution resulting in the July 23 groundbreaking of the Banner Maricopa Health Center
- Award recipient of two state Rural Economic Development Initiative grants to assist in Redevelopment District revitalization as well as cluster analysis research to identify target industries for development of first City industrial park
- Staff liaison and coordinator for City and community boards and groups such as the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce, City Council Marketing & Communications Subcommittee, Industrial Development Authority, and Heritage (Redevelopment) District Citizens’ Advisory Committee
- Executor of all prospect identification, marketing, meeting coordination, and strategy for retail development recruitment through trade show attendance and lead follow-up
- Oversaw creation of Redevelopment District Area Plan for downtown revitalization, securing a grant of $50,000 for area cleanup within six months of plan adoption
- Managed branding campaign for City, resulting in unanimous adoption of brand concept by Council and subsequent design and development of wide range of branded collateral and implementation across all City departments
- Authored Fast Track Program policy for expedited development processes for qualifying projects, receiving unanimous City Council approval
- Initiated the creation of the Industrial Development Authority of the City of Maricopa
- Singularly implemented the City’s first business retention and expansion program
- Managed all aspects of annual resident and labor studies since 2005

- Duties included hiring, training, evaluating, and supervising staff of eight while overseeing all front-line operations in Museum; responsible for department budgeting, event ticket production and sales, staff incentive program, and Admissions Database
- Developed and oversaw Monthly Direct Mail campaign for acquisition of new members, generating a 2.3% response following the first month of implementation
- Assumed responsibility for Corporate Membership program; maintained all records in Raiser’s Edge, handled all donor correspondence, and created a new acquisition plan
